Lost in all of the hype surrounding cloud computing? You are not alone. Sure, your company wants to realize cloud computing's benefits - operational efficiency, reduced costs, application flexibility - but you're probably worried about the problems and costs associated with the transition. Some of us still don't understand what the cloud even is. Recognizing a need for education as we all migrate to the cloud, the AIM Institute has organized an informal three-step educational program beginning March 9 and culminating at the Infotec conference on April 13-14.
Step 1: Attend the next AIM Members Forum "Cloud Computing, the Next IT Revolution," presented by Ken Koehn of Seraph Corporation. On March 9 at UNO's Thompson Alumni Center, Koehn will provide a clear understanding of why cloud computing changes everything and its impact on business and IT. More
Step 2: Enjoy a morning snack while you attend AIM's next Technology Breakfast Seminar on March 26 at Gallup's Riverfront Campus. There a cloud computing expert will discuss this revolutionary new technology during "Cloud Computing & the Impact on the Future of IT." More
Step 3: Register for Infotec and the AIM Technology Celebration Banquet to hear noted cloud experts Nicholas Carr, author of The Big Switch, and Michael T. Jones, Google CTA, in addition to experts gathered from all over the country. Plan to restructure your organization's IT strategy after participating in the conference track "Development and the Cloud." More
