The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded the AIM Institute a $1 million grant through the Strengthening Communities Fund. During a two-year period, AIM — through its Compassion Institute of the Midlands partnership with the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands — will award $600,000 to area nonprofits to improve their capacity-building efforts.
