 Erik Eldridge, developer and evangelist on Yahoo! Developer Network's (YDN) Partner Integration team, will discuss how cloud computing promises to revolutionize how applications and services are delivered to and drawn down by businesses of all shapes and sizes at the next AIM Institute Technology Breakfast Seminar. Erik's areas of focus include Yahoo!'s open cloud initiatives, such as Hadoop and Traffic Server, and products that run on Yahoo!'s cloud infrastructure, like the Yahoo! Query Language (YQL) and Application Platform (YAP). Erik speaks regularly at a variety of events. Most recently, he spoke about YQL and the Yahoo!-Joyent app hosting partnership at the Yahoo! Hack Day at University of Washington, OpenID (an open standard for authentication) at San Diego BarCamp, and OpenSocial (an open standard for social networks) at UC San Diego. AIM's Technology Breakfast Seminars are designed to equip participants with innovative ideas and provide examples of how to creatively apply emerging technologies.
