AIM staff participate in conferences and events throughout the
region. We play key roles in organizing conferences that explore
information technology, workforce development,
and IT faculty development:
- Governor's Summit on Workforce Development
We partner with leaders in education, business, economic development,
health care, and government to bring Nebraska's current workforce
development challenges to the forefront at this Summit. AIM and its
fellow planners are committed to promoting prosperity and growth in our
state and local
workforces by understanding the foundation
for a strong Nebraska workforce and presenting this important issue to
attendees. Learn More...
- infotech®
AIM staff play a lead role in planning infotec, the Annual Midwest
Business Technology Expo & Conference. AIM staff, in coordination
with AITPOmaha, line up the conference speakers, coordinate the
Executive Symposium, and arrange for the nationally recognized guest
speaker at the Technology Celebration Banquet held during infotec. Learn More...
- Working Connections Conference We coordinate
this faculty development conference each year through the Midwest
Center for Information Technology (MCIT). It is a fresh, new approach
to helping community college IT faculty stay current with trends and
new developments. Learn More...
- Information Technology in the Workplace Conference
AIM
staff consulted with the initial organizers of this conference, which explores IT
issues in organizations and provides insights into how to translate IT
vision into reality. Today, AIM continues to support the ITW Conference,
hosted at the Joe Ricketts Center in Electronic Commerce & Database
Marketing at Creighton University. Learn More...
- Security Summit - AIM staff in partnership with Mid-Plains
Community College launched this summit in 2004. It focuses on
information technology security awareness in business, education,
government, and in the home. Learn More...
