As today's IT managers increasingly deal with the challenges of global competition and a changing workforce, effective management and leadership skills are needed more than ever. To address this growing need, the AIM Institute and its business members have collaborated to create an annual IT Leadership Academy in Lincoln. The goal of the Academy is to help IT managers in Lincoln develop and enhance their leadership skills to more fully leverage the talents and contributions of the local IT workforce.

Sessions
The IT Leadership Academy in Lincoln will consist of an Orientation and seven full-day Sessions each month, covering the topics displayed at the right.
Schedule
November 2011 – May 2012. Participants will attend monthly full-day, issues-oriented seminars.
2011-2012 Steering Committee
AIM is coordinating the program under the guidance and direction of a volunteer Steering Committee, comprised of IT managers from small-, medium- and large-size companies representing the diverse industries in the region.
Participants
Participation is limited. Criteria for selection include leadership potential, motivation, ability to identify and meet IT challenges and interest in the IT Leadership Academy itself.

This fee includes all materials, Gallup's Clifton StrengthsFinder™ 2.0 assessment, meals, refreshments, speakers and access to unique leadership development activities and ongoing support that will lead to both substantive personal growth and a measurable impact on the sponsoring company. Participants will also receive complimentary registration to attend Infotec 2012 on April 17-18, 2012, and the AIM Institute's 2012 Technology Celebration Banquet and Awards on April 17, 2012.
