Kandace Miller is President & CEO of the AIM Institute. Kandace served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the prior five years and has been with AIM for over 13 years. She holds an M.S. degree in Education (Counseling and Psychology) and a B.A. degree in Speech and Communications, both from the University of Kansas-Lawrence. Kandace is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Democracy, Citizenship, and Information Technology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Robert Sweeney, Ph.D., is President & CEO Emeritus for the AIM Institute. Robert began with AIM as the Executive Director in April 1992 and retired as President & CEO in October 2006. He has more than 30 years of professional experience as an Educator, Manager and Economist. Robert has been a catalyst for growth within AIM and has provided leadership for the Information Technology Community. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgia State University, an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Louisiana State University and a B.S. in Farm Operations from Iowa State University.

 

Kathleen Berg

Kathleen Berg is currently the Vice President of Community & Government Relations of the AIM Institute. Her primary responsibilities include community and government relations, public relations and marketing, human resources, legal, corporate and board matters. Kathleen specializes in creating strategic partnerships between business and education to support and promote Information Technology education and career preparation. Prior to coming to AIM, Kathleen was an attorney in private practice in several Omaha firms for nearly 12 years. A 1981 graduate of the Creighton University School of Law, Kathleen also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Kathleen is active in the Omaha community, having served on a number of nonprofit Boards.

 

Scott Pettit

Scott Pettit served as Vice President of Business Services for the AIM Institute. He provided an AIM liaison to the business community, served on local boards and advisory committees, and helped coordinate AIM's annual Technology Celebration Banquet & Awards event. Scott worked with local professional groups, independent consultants, businesses, colleges and universities to identify current subjects and national speakers to bring information technology conferences, seminars and workshops to the local, regional and state community. Prior to his AIM service, Scott was Senior Vice President and CIO for the Omaha Farm Credit Bank. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

 

Adam Haeder

Adam Haeder is the Vice President of Information Technology for AIM. Adam's responsibilities include management of the IT department and all related technology ventures. He has been the lead instructor in AIM's Cisco Regional Networking Academy and is the Vice President of the Omaha Linux Users Group. Adam has written books about the IT job market and Linux certification. He serves on the technology advisory councils of Omaha Public Schools, Millard Public Schools, the University of Nebraska Lincoln and Omaha campuses, and the Linux Professional Institute. Adam has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.

 

John Jeanetta

John Jeanetta is currently serving as the Vice President of Research & Planning for AIM. Previously, he served as the Director of Development for Metropolitan Community College. In his current position, John works with colleges and universities across the state and region to develop and implement programs and services that prepare students for careers in the information technology industry. John, who graduated from New York City’s Columbia University in 1991, with a Master of Science in Social Work degree, also holds a Master’s Specialization Certification in Gerontology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. John has worked as a community development officer for the United States Peace Corps, serving in Belize, Central America, and has provided clinical and administrative social work services to a variety of populations: emotionally disturbed youth; frail and well elderly; non-college-bound adolescents and chronically mentally ill adults. Before joining Metropolitan Community College in 1994, John served as the Community Relations Coordinator for the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In 1996, John was a recipient of the Omaha Junior Chamber of Commerces Ten Outstanding Young Omahans award and was further selected as the Distinguished Service Award winner. 

 

Brad McPeak

Brad McPeak serves as Vice President of Operations for the AIM Institute. Brad is responsible for overseeing sales and service for Careerlink.com, AIM's online recruiting service. He also works with communities and small businesses throughout Nebraska to leverage information technology and e-commerce solutions for greater economic growth. Brad also works with communities and nonprofit partners to find and procure state and federal funds for programs that have an impact on economic growth, education and workforce development. Brad came to AIM from Bertram McKee, a Dallas-based technology marketing firm, where he was Director of Client Services. He holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and philosophy from the University of Mississippi. 

 


William Lutz

William Lutz currently serves the AIM Institute as Vice President of Educational Services. He is responsible for the management, development and delivery of education initiatives, services, and products. William's team manages five Federal education grants (Talent Search, Education Opportunity Center, Upward Bound, and Math Science Upward Bound). He also coordinates the consulting, data management and web development services contracted by AIM from a variety of institutions. William taught for five years for the Omaha Public School System and served as a curriculum supervisor, assistant principal and principal for the remaining 35 years of his tenure with OPS.


Rod Armstrong

Rod Armstrong serves as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for the AIM Institute. Rod is responsible for forging partnerships with businesses, nonprofits and educational institutions throughout the region to promote AIM's mission of economic and personal growth through information technology. Prior to joining AIM, Rod served as General Manager of Nebraska.gov, the state's official Web portal. He also served in a variety of policy-related positions in Nebraska state government for nearly 20 years. Rod hails from Broken Bow, Nebraska, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
