To date, MCIT has achieved excellent results through
its local and regional efforts to support faculty development, increase
students’ interest in information technology, increase student enrollment in
educational programs focused on IT careers and contribute to a workforce better
prepared to take on the challenges of today’s workplace. Our successes include:

A 63% decrease in the number of IT positions in the
region that go unfilled each year due to a lack of qualified applicants.
- A 65.6% increase in the number of students graduating
from community college IT programs that go on to enroll in a four-year college
or university.
- A 12.3% increase in the number of students graduating
from community college IT programs.
- A 29.7% increase in the number of high school students
enrolling in community college IT programs.
- A 78.2% increase in the number of IT faculty in the
region that now hold an industry-validated IT certification and/or an advanced
degree.
