We work to identify the IT skills needed for the region’s highest demand careers and adapt curriculum to provide the most appropriate level of IT education to faculty and students.

 

Initiatives:

  • Curriculum Adaptation Team – A regional Curriculum Adaptation Team (CAT), comprised of faculty from each MCIT college as well as representatives from business and industry collaborates to identify IT competencies needed in the region’s high demand occupations and adapts curriculum accordingly.
  • Identify IT Competencies – The CAT team identifies IT training requirements for those careers and educational pathways that are in highest demand in the four-state region.

  • Adapt Curriculum – The CAT team adapts curriculum for targeted programs of study:
  • Grant Year 1 – Agriculture / Natural Resources and Business
  • Grant Year 2 – Healthcare and Manufacturing
  • Grant Year 3 – Education and Government
