Computer Camps Just for Girls – Now girls may
explore fun software tools and information technology careers at
camps designed just for them. MCIT partners offering girls camps
include:
- Central
Community College – High school girls are targeted at the annual Cyber Camp 4 Girls at
Central's Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings, Nebraska campuses.
Activities include digital photo manipulation, programming, flash

- Southeast Technical Institute – Middle school girls in the Sioux
Falls area can get hands-on experience using animation, moviemaking,
programming and web development software. They also learn how to stay safe

TANN Robotics Competition – The Technology Academies of
Northeast Nebraska (TANN), a unique partnership of area high
schools and two colleges —
including MCIT partner Northeast Community College, has wrapped up
this
year's TANN Robotics Competitions. Designed to maximize
fun while helping students learn about science and technology, the two-tiered competition drew 11 high school and 5
college
