A Working Connections IT Conference, sponsored by the AIM Institute and the Midwest Center for IT, is held each year in June at Iowa Western Community College. Working Connections offers a fresh, new approach in helping IT faculty at the community college and high school level and IT professionals stay current with trends and new developments in Information Technology.

Multiple tracks are offered with an impressive group of instructors. Each conference track is five days of intensive, hands-on instruction, which allows the attendees to develop a thorough understanding of the topic.

Initiated by Microsoft, the program was created to provide a national delivery channel to help community college IT faculty throughout the United States stay current with the latest emerging technologies and best practices. In 2007 high school instructors as well as IT professionals from business and industry were also invited to register for the conference, enabling the conference organizers to expand the number and variety of tracks offered.
