The Technology Innovator of the Year award recognizes an organization, group or individual that has demonstrated significant innovation in the development or application of technology in business or education. The Innovator demonstrates a creative, outside-the-box approach that produces results and influences others to better performance. Nominations are open to all information technology professionals in the public and private sectors. Position or title is not as important as the individual’s performance with respect to the scope of the assigned duties and the organizational mission. The award recognizes an individual’s sustained performance over an extended period of time or recognizes a significant contribution to a specific event or an effort critical to the organization.
