2007 College Intern of the Year PDF Print E-mail

The Technology Celebration Award for College Intern of the Year recognizes a college or university technology student intern who has contributed substantially to his or her employing organization, has an excellent work ethic, and/or has superior technical skills deserving of recognition.

Phillip Mues
Student
Mid-Plains Community College

This year’s recipient for college intern of the year is Phillip Mues from Mid-Plains Community College, shown accepting his award from Kandace Miller, President and CEO of AIM Institute.  Phillip is taking classes at both the North Platte and McCook campuses.

This award recognizes an individual who goes beyond the classroom in the quest for knowledge, problem solving, and innovation. Phillip’s ability to diagnose a problem, develop creative solutions, and improve systems is a tremendous resource to his team at Mid-Plains Community College. He has an innate ability to understand situations; then implement a process that is the best possible means for his organization. A prime example is his decision to switch Sata hard drives in their computers that require more than one hard drive.

Phillip’s commitment to his academics, his team, and his constant ability to push his own technological skill and expertise make him a well-deserved recipient of this year’s College Intern of the Year.
