2007 K-12 Educator of the Year |

|

The
Technology Celebration Award for K-12 Educator of the Year recognizes a
member of the educational community as an outstanding technology
leader, a person that enriches the educational experience for students,
teachers, colleagues and education as a whole.
Stacie Bender
Teacher,
Bellevue West High School
Stacie Bender is a class room teacher at
Bellevue West High School. She has generated tremendous interest in the
high school technology classes through her personal style and
connection with the students. Stacie always finds ways to go beyond the
necessary and into the unexpected to meet the needs of a very diverse
student population.
Using the technology that she teaches, Stacie has created classroom
curriculum that captures the attention and encourages the efforts of
her students. Her enthusiasm for what she is doing clearly
reaches the kids. Stacie has the knack to generate interest in the
student body that manifests itself on a day-to-day basis as creative
efforts, innovative projects and real learning.
For her work with her students and her ability to capture not only
their attention but to bring out their innovation and imagination,
Stacie Bender is the K-12 Technology Educator of the Year.
