2008 High School Intern of the Year |
|

|
The Technology Celebration Award for High School Intern of the Year
recognizes a high school student intern who has contributed
substantially to his or her employing
organization, has an excellent work ethic, and/or has superior
technical skills deserving of recognition.
Jonathan Wolfe
Student
Columbus High School
This year’s recipient for high school intern of the
year is Jonathan Wolfe. Jonathan is a student and part-time intern at Columbus High School. He was nominated by Leonard Kwapnioski, Executive Director of Technology for Columbus Schools.
When Columbus Public Schools implemented a new email system, Jon took it upon himself to use a program called Jing to create video documentation around this new system. Not only were these videos helpful for staff, but they demonstrated that Jon cares about going the extra mile to help the district make these improvements.
He also developed a new inventory system for the district. Jon created an easy-to-use end product without a lot of direction and in record time. He is well-respected and works in a professional manner with staff and his current teachers.
Jon will graduate in May and will enroll in one of Nebraska’s postsecondary institutions. Ten months ago, Leonard had the pleasure of hiring him to be part of the Columbus Public Schools’ Technology Team. Leonard said, “Now we have come full circle, and I now learn from Jon.”
Congratulations, Jon!
