Elena Hernandez is the recipient of the 2008 Dr. Robert E. and Donna Sweeney AIM Achiever Scholarship. Elena is currently an eighth grade student at Wilson Jr. High in the Council Bluffs Community School District. The recipient of this prestigious $4,000 scholarship has to demonstrate an interest in IT as well as maintain an above average GPA throughout her middle school and high school career.

Elena is well on her way on the road to success. Elena’s math teacher said, "She set a goal to make the honor roll this year and has stayed the course. She attacks math, has excelled, and is a shining star."

Elena’s principal commented, “Elena is charming, intelligent, resilient, and a leader with her peers. I have no doubt that she will utilize these talents and attributes along with the scholarship she is receiving to achieve her goals.”

Elena's capability to achieve anything she sets her mind to makes her a well-deserved recipient of the Dr. Robert E. and Donna Sweeney AIM Achiever Scholarship.
