2009 College Intern of the Year |
|
|
|
The Technology Celebration Award for College Intern of the Year recognizes a college or university technology
student intern who has contributed substantially to his or her employing
organization, has an excellent work ethic, and/or has superior
technical skills deserving of recognition.
Anthony Sjuts
Student at University of Nebraska at Omaha
Intern at HDR, Inc.
Anthony Sjuts is a junior in the Management Information Systems program at UNO’s College of Information Science & Technology. He has worked as an intern at HDR in the Corporate Information Systems department since May 2008.
Anthony’s internship includes working with HDR’s business customers to understand their needs and to provide effective solutions. He has a proven talent in working with customers without supervision…a rare talent for an inexperienced intern!
Anthony is able to take conceptual-level direction and with limited guidance analyze the necessary process to complete a given task. He has also configured, developed, tested, and implemented solutions that meet HDR’s development and infrastructure standards.
Over the past 11 months, Anthony has grown as a professional in three very important ways: developing his analytical skills, effectively communicating with business customers and learning new technologies. He is able to multi-task between work and school so there are never concerns with project tasks getting off schedule. For his exemplary work at HDR, Anthony Sjuts is the 2009 College Intern of the Year.
Congratulations, Anthony!
