The Technology Celebration Award for K-12 Educator of the Year recognizes a member of the educational community as an outstanding technology leader, a person that enriches the educational experience for students, teachers and colleagues.

Therese Laux has significantly advanced music education by engaging and encouraging students through an innovative music technology course.  Therese makes extraordinary efforts to ensure that her students have access to the best technology possible, while creating an innovative atmosphere that stimulates the imagination.

For her work with students, teachers and staff, and her ability to nurture their innovation and imagination, Therese Laux of Omaha North High Magnet School is the recipient of the 2009 K-12 Educator of the Year award!
