Scott Pettit Memorial Scholarship |
|
|
|
Scott Pettit served as the AIM Institute's Vice President of Business Services from 1994 until his death in 2007. The Scott Pettit Memorial Scholarship was instituted through a generous donation by Scott's wife Sherry Pettit and family. Scott Pettit lived life to the fullest and had a variety of interests besides technology including music, photography and nature. His easy manner and ability to communicate with all types of people and in all levels of an organization was a real asset for AIM.
Michael Patterson
Student
University of Nebraska at Omaha
Michael is a junior computer science major at UNO's Peter Kiewit Institute and has worked as an intern at AIM for three years.
He has been involved in many development and IT areas at AIM, including graphics and web site layout, programming in HTML/Javascript and PHP, database design, end-user training and helpdesk.
In addition to his interests in technology, one of his hobbies is music — he plays bass guitar.
Michael’s professional attitude, his attention to detail, and his willingness to take on challenging projects has always been impressive. He has worked very well across different departments in the organization, and has always been willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed, making Michael a worthy recipient of the Scott Pettit Memorial Scholarship.
